Christopher Kales

Dr. Christopher Kales was born on April 26, 1956 in Chicago, IL. He grew up in Rockton he studied ice skating as a teenager, going on to become a gold-medalist in the United States Figure Skating Association. Kales’ last competition before college in 1976 ranked him eighth among senior men. While getting his Bachelor’s Degree at Yale, Kales taught ice-skating part time in New Haven. Following his graduation, he studied at the David Howard School in Manhattan, before enrolling at Rush Medical College in Chicago. In 1981, Kales took a two year break from his medical studies to perform with the Theater Ballet of Canada. In 1984, he obtained his MD from Rush and began practicing medicine as a general physician in New York City. He died on January 23, 1992 at NYU Medical Center from AIDS related complications.

He was 36 years old.
