Jose Teodoro Moscoso (J.D. ’65) was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on November 10, 1940. The son of an esteemed businessman and ambassador, Moscoso graduated from Harvard in 1960 before receiving his JD from Yale Law School in 1965. Specializing in international commercial transactions, Moscoso worked for the law offices of Baker & McKenzie in Manhattan from 1984 to 1991.
Like his father Teodoro, Moscoso wrote extensively about Puerto Rican economy. While practicing law, Moscoso was also a visiting lecturer at Harvard Law School. During his time in New York City, he sat on the board of directors of El Museo del Barrio in East Harlem and Boricua College.
He died of AIDS related complications at his family’s home in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 12, 1994. He was 53 years old.
