Scot Kevin Haller was born September 29, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended St. Xavier High School in Cincin­nati before com­ing to Yale, where he wrote for the Yale Daily News, acted in pro­duc­tions of the Yale College Dramat, and majored in English. After grad­u­at­ing magna cum laude he pur­sued a career in journalism, work­ing as an edi­tor at the Sat­ur­day Review before mov­ing to California, where he became a senior edi­tor of Peo­ple and chief of the mag­a­zine’s Los Angeles bureau. Dur­ing his time at Peo­ple, he authored over twenty cover arti­cles based on inter­views with many celebri­ties includ­ing Bette Davis, Sally Field, and Rock Hud­son. He was also a con­trib­u­tor to Esquire, New York, Hori­zon, the Dial and TV Guide mag­a­zines. He died on June 24, 1990.
